This is an excellent museum! In general, I’m not a hinge museum fan but this was well done with a variety of exhibits. It is definitely worth a visit. Full review by melonbelly

Raised in Mandan, ND. I had no idea about its history. Dinosaurs? Swamp land, hot and humid year round? Fascinating! I knew of the Mandan Indians. There were two other tribes. Full review by shellyhV3908WV

You could stay there all day if you are really into it. There are so many great things to see and do. There are four museum galleries tracing the state's rich history from its earliest geologic formation 600 million years ago. There is a great play area for kids, they have a simulated tractor that is good for the young and the young at heart. I would say an average stay is around 2 hours, lots of people make it a half day excursions and others stay for an hour, just to get a feel for it. Everyone that goes loves that they had a chance to see it.

There are motorized wheelchairs available at the East Entrance of the building. Go to the information desk and they will help.
