Texas State Fair was a real let down this year. Overpriced and lame. Been going every year, but likely won't be going anytime soon Full review by 45justr

One day is more than enough to see everything at the Texas State Fair, especially if you begin the day early and plan to stay all day. Try to plan to go on opening day. It is the very best day to attend because it is the least crowded and everything is fresh and clean, from the frying oils, used to make most treats, to the restrooms. I go every year on opening day, and when I used to take my daughter until a couple of years ago, who would ride all the rides, there was never a line to waste our time. On subsequent days, the lines can eat up too much of your valuable time. Also, everything takes coupons, but don't worry if you have any left over, they are like poker chips from a casino, still good the next time you go.
