We travelled by daladala bus from Pwani village to this beach. That was lots of fun in itself. The beach was very quiet apart from a few locals and kids playing. Some nice restaurants on the beach fo…Full review by happyskier1

Hello everyone - it is great that you all had a wonderful trip. I am trying to figure how to cut down costs/expenses. Hi everyone! I have a question. I really enjoy swimming in the ocean. I was deciding whether to do a few days in Nungwi and a few in Matemwe in August and am wondering about the tides. Is it possible to swim or is it too shallow? Also, I want to go to Paje too. Thanks!

Mateamwe is not ideal for swimming. The tide is seaweeed infested and is only knee high...you can however get a boat out which only takes ten mins and swim with dolphins
