New York Giants rookie edge rusher Abdul Carter is giving himself some extra motivation to record his first NFL sack.

Carter has lived through 40% of U.S. history since the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and more than a third of all U.S. administrations.

Carter is a Michigan native, but he has roots in Alabama. Earlier this summer, he announced the Jazz Hall of Fame honor on social media, explaining his connection to the state.
