Armed Forces Bowl, Navy’s postseason destination, finds success with name change
Organizers announced Tuesday that Friday’s Armed Forces Bowl, which kicks off at noon Eastern Daylight Time, was a sellout. That means a record crowd of 46,000 will fill Amon G. Carter Stadium, breaking the previous mark of 44,738 when Army played Houston in 2018.
Over the past decade, the Armed Forces Bowl has been the second-highest scoring bowl game in college football.
The Army West Point Black Knights were dominated in their last game against Navy, a 31-13 loss. But, the Black Knights can finish the season with a flourish.
