Texas ranch trader and big game hunter Asher Watkins, 52, was killed by a Cape buffalo in an 'unprovoked attack' while hunting the animal.

Asher Watkins, the managing partner of Watkins Ranch Group, was killed by a buffalo while hunting in the Limpopo Province with Coenraad Vermaak Safaris.

Asher Watkins died after he was attacked by a buffalo while on a hunting safari in South Africa, Coenraad Vermaak Safaris said in a statement.
