Auburn basketball proved last Saturday that any win is a good win. The No. 1 Tigers defeated No. 7 Tennessee, 53-51, on Saturday at Neville Arena despite shooting 31% from the field. Two of its offensive weapons, Denver Jones and Chad Baker-Mazara, were shut out from the field, and freshman Tahaad Pettiford shot 33% on the night.

The No. 7 Vols lost 53-51 to the No. 1 Tigers at Neville Arena, falling to 2-2 against No. 1 teams under coach Rick Barnes.

The Vols were right there but could not make the winning play on the road at No. 1 Auburn. Tennessee allowed a late 3-pointer that ended up being the difference
