This weekend, Johnson's Bears doubled down on the offensive gameplan with the selections of Michigan tight end Colston Loveland at pick number ten and Missouri wide receiver Luther Burden at pick 39, the latter of which caught the attention of ex-Johnson player Jameson Williams of the Detroit Lions.

Analysis: After a calculated pick at No. 10, the Bears need to provide support for a first pick that as obviously one their new coach wanted for mismatches.

When the Bears introduced Ben Johnson as their new head coach in late January, general manager Ryan Poles spoke of his desire to lean on Johnson’s input in personnel decisions. He has certainly done that on the first two days of this NFL Draft.
