Ford is recalling 149,449 examples of its body-on-frame Bronco because of rear shocks that can fail due to corrosion. This recall only affects Broncos with external reservoir shocks, which includes Badlands and Broncos equipped with the Sasquatch package.

The batteries were made in China under the Camel Battery brand and were used between February 5, 2020, and Oct. 20, 2022.

Subject vehicles were produced for the 2021 through 2023 model years for the US market, with the cut-off date being October 20, 2022

The batteries in the vehicles have internal defects that could cause them to lose power unexpectedly, or fail to start.

Ford is recalling more than 149,000 vehicles because of issues with the rear shock absorbers, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. For a complete list of recalled vehicles or to see if your car needs repairs, check the NHTSA website.
