Despite his reputation as a big game player, last season ended in disappointment as Kansas City fell to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl, a loss that still stings. Now, Mahomes is tasked with leading the Chiefs back to the mountaintop, beginning with a season-opening matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers in São Paulo.
The game will be broadcast by YouTube. In Kansas City, it also will be shown on KSHB (Channel 41). The game will also be broadcast on radio via KFNZ (96.5 FM) in the KC area, and KNSS (98.7 FM) in the Wichita area. The Chiefs opened as a 3 1/2-point favorite, with the over/under set at 46 1/2.
For the first time, an NFL game has been exclusively streamed for free (no subscription required) on the YouTube platform.
