In recent weeks, the digital library dedicated to preserving the internet’s history has been under attack by the internet itself. The Internet Archive, a nonprofit library based in California, was founded in 1996 to archive and preserve the World Wide Web.

More details have emerged concerning the recent cyberattack against the Internet Archive, which appears to still not be fully recovered. The archive is now back online, in a preliminary ‘read-only’ capacity whilst it continues to recover.
