A man is safe after a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper pulled him from a burning vehicle in a dramatic scene captured on the patrol's dashcam and the officer's bodycam.Just after 2:20 a.m. on Jan.

In a bodycam video released by DPS, you can see Trooper Durham immediately opening the back passenger door, entering the smoke-filled vehicle and beginning to pull the driver out until he was able to remove him from the vehicle and pull him safely away from the fire.

The agency said Trooper Cody Durham was on a routine patrol near Spring Creek Parkway on Jan. 9 at about 2:20 a.m. when he saw smoke emitting from a single-vehicle crash. As Durham approached it, he could see the driver trapped inside the blazing vehicle, according to a Friday news release.
