There have been several rumors about the Samsung Fan Edition flip phone; new evidence indicates that the device indeed exists.

In line with this, the company will launch a Galaxy Z Flip FE with a more affordable price tag than the main Z Flip devices. Reports have revealed some of its tech specs, but there was still a lot left to be known.

Although the flagship Galaxy Z Flip7 is anticipated to feature the newer Exynos 2500 processor, the FE variant is likely to use the Exynos 2400 to keep costs down. This aligns with Samsung's strategy for its "Fan Edition" devices, which often repurpose components from previous models to offer a more affordable option.

The Galaxy Z Flip FE had earlier surfaced on the GSMA database with the model number SM-F761B. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 bears model number SM-F741, while the Galaxy Z Flip 5 has model number SM-F731. Based on this naming pattern, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to get model number SM-F751.

That's the premise behind devices like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 – and now, Samsung is said to be readying a more cost-conscious variant of that handset. Dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE, the handset is expected to offer a lower-cost option for those seeking a foldable phone.
