Jesse Eisenberg is officially a Polish citizen. The actor, writer and director was granted citizenship by President Andrzej Duda at a ceremony in New York on Tuesday night, just days after his film “A Real Pain” won Kieran Culkin an Oscar for best supporting actor.

US actor Jesse Eisenberg has been awarded Polish citizenship by President Andrzej Duda, after telling the story of the Jewish population during World War Two in his Oscar-winning film A Real Pain. Eisenberg wrote,

"This is an honor of a lifetime and something I have been very interested in for two decades," said Eisenberg, who filmed the Oscar-winning film he wrote and directed in Poland
