The National Hurricane Center continued tracking two systems in the Atlantic basin Wednesday, including one that could develop into a tropical depression later this week. The system that could become a depression was described by the NHC Wednesday morning as a "broad area of low pressure" located over the central tropical Atlantic that is producing "disorganized showers and thunderstorms.

"Environmental conditions appear conducive for some additional development over the next day or two," the National Hurricane Center said.
