One arrest has been made and at least two more are expected in connection with the death of a 20-year-old Southern University student after an off-campus fraternity hazing ritual, Baton Rouge authorities announced Friday.

A Southern University graduate has been detained and police said they expect to make at least two more arrests Friday in connection with the death of 20-year-old Kenner native Caleb Wilson during an off-campus fraternity initiation.

The death of a 20-year-old Southern University student in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is being investigated by local law enforcement as a possible act of fraternity hazing, school authorities confirmed to The Associated Press on Wednesday.

According to BRPD, arrest warrants are pending for two more suspects involved in the hazing death of Southern University student Caleb Wilson.

Louisiana authorities investigating the death of a 20-year-old Southern University student say they expect multiple people to face charges in relation to the case.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Southern University has implemented a student judiciary process after the death of one of its students. This procedure comes after Caleb Wilson, 20, of Kenner, died in an “off-campus and un-sanctioned Omega fraternity ritual”.

In a statement released Tuesday, Southern said hazing is a violation of the school's rules and regulations, as well as a violation of state law.
