Legendary lyricist Alan Bergman died on Thursday (July 17) at his home in Los Angeles at the age of 99, it was announced Friday by family spokesman Ken Sunshine. His daughter Julie Bergman was present. Bergman suffered from respiratory issues in recent months, but continued to write songs till the very end.
