Shares of IT behemoth and the country's fourth-largest IT company, Wipro, surged nearly 4% today after the company's board of directors approved a 1:1 bonus issue. This also comes on the back of positive Q2 results declared by the company yesterday.

Wipro Ltd (NYSE:WIT) stock slid after the company reported second-quarter results. The company reported gross revenue of 223.0 billion rupees ($2.66 billion), down by 1.0% year-on-year, missing the analyst consensus estimate of $2.

IT major Wipro has recorded a 21 per cent profit rise, beating market estimates. While revenue and margins reported were largely in line with street estimates in Q2, the outlook for next quarter isn’t encouraging.

IT company Wipro on Thursday reported a 21.2 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs 3,208.8 crore for the second quarter of FY25. It had reported a profit of Rs 2,646.3 crore in the year-ago period.

Wipro posted its earnings for the quarter ended September on Thursday evening after market close. What Happened: Wipro posted a consolidated net profit of ₹3,208.8 crore, a 21% jump from the ₹2,646 crore net profit posted in the same quarter last year.

Wipro's Q2 earnings are under scrutiny, with various brokerages providing mixed forecasts. JM Financial expects a 1.7% YoY revenue decline to Rs 22,134 crore but a 19% PAT increase. Sharekhan predicts a slight revenue rise,
