Alsea Falls is a scenic and secluded day use area and campground on the South Fork Alsea River, offering 16 campsites, picnic opportunities with a walking trail along the scenic Alsea Falls.
The system is conveniently located next to Alsea Falls Recreation Site, a beautiful camping and day use facility with 16 first-come, first-served campsites and 22 picnic sites.
Exploring one of Oregon's less-traveled backcountry byways This time of year, the Alsea River Backcountry Byway is marked by spring wildflowers, gorgeous forested scenery and a spectacular waterfall.
Benton County's Salmonberry campground will open Saturday and remain open through Oct. 15. It's located 6.4 miles west of Alsea off state Highway 34 on the Alsea River.
