The Auburn Tigers will face the Baylor Bears in Week 1 of the 2025 college football season on Friday at McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas.

Auburn's WR corps got most of the preseason acclaim, but a Week 1 win over Baylor was all about Arnold and the rest of the ground game

Auburn beat Baylor 38-24 on Friday night, a road win that head coach Hugh Freeze described as a "solid, solid effort" from the Tigers.

Baylor’s outlook is notably different from what the team faced a year ago. There’s renewed confidence in head coach Dave Aranda and the school suddenly features one of the most talented rosters in the Big 12. Finishing 2024 with an 8-5 mark and a Texas Bowl appearance had plenty of positive effects on what Aranda called a “hungry” squad.

Baylor has ramped up its spending after years of avoiding the pay-for-play game. With that comes more work, pressure and expectations for its overseer, who is also re-imagining his defense for the upcoming season.
