CINCINNATI — Evan McPherson is carrying plenty of confidence into the 2025 season after seemingly fixing his 2024 issues this preseason.

Mitchell Tinsley's roster status remains in limbo, but a stellar preseason and endorsement from Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow could aid his effort.

After going undrafted in April, the Bengals made him one of their undrafted free agent signings and had him battling with Adomitis, who had been the team’s starting longsnapper since 2022. He joined the team after Clark Harris, who was the longsnapper at the time, went on injured reserve.

On NFL cut-down day, a former Michigan special teams star got a shot of good news. Longsnapper William Wagner, who signed with Cincinnati in May after going undrafted this year, was informed Tuesday that he made the team’s 53-man roster.

Joe Burrow led two scoring drives, an undrafted wide receiver caught two touchdowns and the Cincinnati Bengals picked up their first preseason win of 2025 on Monday, beating the Washington Commanders 31-17 at Northwest Stadium.
