LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Several flights were cancelled Friday at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) after an order from the Federal Aviation Administration. Louisville Airport Spokesperson Natalie Chaudoin said 10 total flights were cancelled, most of which were to large airports with multiple other flights scheduled.
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear says the number of fatalities from the UPS plane crash at the Louisville airport is expected to grow.
The UPS plane, which was bound for Honolulu, appeared to catch fire, exploding during takeoff at the Louisville Airport, causing a fiery scene, leaving 12 people dead, 15 injured and 9 people are still unaccounted for.
