Crystal Palace stunned Manchester City 1-0 in the FA Cup final on Saturday to win the first major trophy of their 164-year-old history thanks to a goal from local boy Eberechi Eze.

Before kick off at the FA Cup final, a picture of the pair embracing was used in the Crystal Palace tifo at the west end of Wembley. It went viral.

Just as they had been in the semi-final, three former Palace managers — Steve Coppell, who led Palace out in their first FA Cup final in 1990, Alan Smith and Roy Hodgson — were in attendance.

For the second time in two seasons, Manchester City were on the end of an FA Cup final defeat, and after the year they've endured in 2024/25, Pep Guardiola's anger at full-time was clear to see.

The FA Cup final wound up making history, while five different teams in the Premier League are fighting for the last three Champions League spots.

The Women's FA Cup final will see Chelsea take on Manchester United at Wembley Stadium. Manchester United are seeking to retain the trophy after beating Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 in last year's final.
