For more than 25 years, Shoes for Orphan Souls has collected new footwear for needy children in impoverished countries around the world — and also areas of the United States.

For the past 15 years, the annual “School Shoes for Kids” event, hosted by Mission Community Outreach Center, has provided new shoes and socks for thousands of kids in need.

Mansfield police and Walmart collect 406 pairs of new shoes and 2,197 pairs of new socks to be distributed to local kids in need.
