Most of the snowmobile trails across Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula are now open, according to Visit Keweenaw. So far, 38.5 inches of snow has fallen, creating a sufficient base on most trails.

The Portage Lake Lift Bridge snowmobile crossing is not expected to be open until around Christmas.
