LAPORTE COUNTY, IN (WSBT) — An ambulance trying to make a U-turn wound up in the path of a fire truck responding to the same call just before the collision outside LaPorte.
The fire truck driver, Joseph Mills, 26, told investigators he started to turn off his emergency lights when the ambulance began making the U-turn, police said.
