DETROIT, MI - A Detroit police officer may face criminal charges after shooting a woman six times during a traffic stop and pursuit.

Patrick O'Callahan, the deputy chief for Orange Village Police Department who has been charged with drunken driving, was also at the center of a civil rights lawsuit over a police shooting.

The ordinance comes as the department faces questions over what an expert said was altered body camera footage from a Sept. 18 shooting.

The shooting took place last July when Emilson Joan Ordoñez-Banegas emerged from a wooded area and tried to stab an injured man being treated by EMTs, the AG's report said.
