Rivera’s cause of death is still being determined by the local coroner’s office, but he is not believed to have died under suspicious circumstances, the Evening Sun reported.

Dan Rivera, a Connecticut paranormal investigator and one of the handlers of the famed Annabelle doll, died suddenly over the weekend, according to the New England Society for Psychic Research (NESPR)...

According to the society's website, Rivera worked on paranormal research and investigations for over 10 years, adding that he was born and raised in Bridgeport, Conn and later served in the U.S. Army.
