The lane closures are part of the ongoing project to widen U.S. 98 between West Socrum Road and Rockridge Road north of Lakeland.

Drivers have been subverting the Rock Ridge Road closure near Frog Hollow Road, Cole County Public Works Director Eric Landwehr said Monday.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office said the crash was reported about 9 p.m. on Wildlife Trail in the Rockridge Road area north of Lakeland.
