Formed in 1926, the Central High School Kiltie Drum & Bugle Corps is using uniforms older than the students wearing them.

Founded in 1926, the Central Kilties are the oldest uniformed Scottish drum and bugle corps west of the Mississippi. Currently, the corps has 39 members, and tryouts for next year start this month.

Central High School's Kilties were the first all-girls Scottish drum corps in Springfield and the nation.
