As part of its continued efforts to reduce the number of traffic-related deaths, the city of Portland will be replacing and upgrading its traffic cameras.

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — There’s major pushback on the removal of a few traffic diverters in parts of Portland, even as Mayor Keith Wilson is calling the removals necessary for public safety.

Community members gathered at NW 20th Avenue and Everett to rally against a city plan to remove several traffic diverters in that corridor and other areas.

The Providence Bridge Pedal is back this Sunday, which means commuters may need to find alternative routes if crossing over the Willamette River.
