UConn's last loss to a conference foe in the regular season came at Notre Dame, which was followed by a loss to the Fighting Irish in the championship game of the 2013 Big East tournament.

It all started in 1998 when a group of women in their 70s and 80s — inspired by the UConn women’s success — started a basketball team that competed in the Massachusetts Senior Games.
