Florida State University on Thursday joined the University of Florida in approving plans to increase costs for out-of-state students during the upcoming academic year.

The University withdrew a request for the state supreme court to reconsider a decision from last month that revived the lawsuit.

The out-of-state fee increase follows a directive from the Florida Board of Governors and impacts all State University System institutions.
