The Texans signed safety Jalen Mills, agents Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Sunday. Mills' signing comes after safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson suffered a knee injury during the Texans' practice in West Virginia on Thursday.

The Texans have signed former Eagles and Patriots safety Jalen Mills. This move comes after an injury to safeties C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Jaylin Reed, and the arrest of Jimmie Ward.

Jalen Mills played for the Jets last season and will give the Texans extra depth in secondary that has been hit with injuries at safety.
