On a per-share basis, the Atlanta-based company said it had profit of 28 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 29 cents per share. The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 30 cents per share.

Rollins (ROL) came out with quarterly earnings of $0.29 per share, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.30 per share. This compares to earnings of $0.28 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.
