Embiid has missed the last 11 games as he continues to battle with knee issues and is ruled out for the upcoming home games against the Los Angeles Lakers and the Sacramento Kings.
The Nets are believed to be seeking two first-round draft picks or one pick and a top young prospect. The Kings seem to be unwilling to trade third-year forward Keegan Murray or rookie guard Devin Carter, so it might be difficult to get a deal done before the Feb. 6 trade deadline.
