Two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova loses to Britain's Jodie Burrage on her return from maternity leave at the ATX Open.

There are many exciting matches to watch on day 2 of the ATX Open in Austin but the highlight would be the return of two-time Grand Slam winner, Petra Kvitova, who will play her first match in 15 months.

Two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova, on the comeback trail seven months after giving birth to a son, was ousted in the first round at Indian Wells on Wednesday by France's 70th-ranked Varvara Gracheva.

Former Miami Open champions Petra Kvitova and Sloane Stephens have received wild cards for this year's tournament, alongside rising teenagers Victoria Mboko, Sayaka Ishii and Tyra Caterina Grant.

Gracheva, the World No. 70, notched her first win over Kvitova, whom she had lost to 7-5, 7-6 (5) in the 2023 Miami fourth round. The result was the Frenchwoman's first victory in Indian Wells since making the last 16 in the same year. She will next face No. 9 seed Mirra Andreeva in the second round.

Ranked No. 70 in the world, Gracheva secured 68 percent of points on her first serve and 56 percent on her second, sealing the victory over the 34-year-old Czech in two hours and 22 minutes.
