Russia launched its largest barrage of drones and missiles in a month across Ukraine, killing at least three people, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Saturday, as a Kyiv delegation heads to the United States for fresh peace talks.

Both vessels are on a list of ships subject to sanctions imposed against Russia following its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

U.S. and Ukrainian officials completed roughly four hours of talks Sunday aimed at finding an endgame to the war between Russia and Ukraine, just days before a U.S. envoy is due in Moscow for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

US and Ukrainian negotiators said they had productive discussions about a framework for a peace deal, but there was no final breakthrough as President Donald Trump continues to push for a truce with Russia.

The attack came as U.S. officials were expected to hold peace talks with Ukrainian and Russian officials in the coming days.
