YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK (CBS13) - With the winter getting a jump start this week, officials have decided to close Tioga and Glacier Point roads in Yosemite National Park for the season.
Yosemite’s Tioga Road has reopened, but Glacier Point Road will remain closed to cars all season. The road’s famed viewpoints will be accessible only by a substantial hike.
Yosemite National Park officials have announced that Glacier Point and Tioga Roads are now closed for the season.
Glacier Point Road, which branches off of Wawona Road (Highway 41 outside the park), ends at Glacier Point, a popular overlook above Yosemite Valley.
