Gators coach Billy Napier, set to oversee his first team practice of the spring Thursday afternoon, announced earlier in the day his staff will take a cautious approach with sophomore quarterback DJ Lagway as he tends to shoulder and lower-body issues that afflicted him down the stretch last fall.

Florida quarterback DJ Lagway will be “limited in throwing activities” during spring practice. Coach Billy Napier says Lagway also is dealing with a lower-body injury, but he provided few details other than saying the quarterback didn’t have any offseason surgery.

Billy Napier held his first press conference of spring camp today. During it, he provided updates, including a list of injured players, notably Florida’s projected starting quarterback, DJ Lagway.
