In December, a jury unanimously decided that Google’s Android app store, the Play Store, had become an illegal monopoly, though Google is now appealing that jury verdict as well as the court’s order.

A federal judge has temporarily paused changes to Google's Play Store in an antitrust case by Epic Games, delaying an order to enhance user control over app downloads set for November 1st.

Epic Games, the company behind Fortnite and Unreal Engine, just won a significant antitrust case against Google, meaning the Android mobile store must open up alongside other requirements. However, Google announced it's already appealing the order.
