When it comes to the booking of The Hurt Syndicate, it feels as though AEW is booking for the future. Lashley & Benjamin are picking up big victories over the likes of Swerve Strickland, Mark Briscoe, and others, but this is only making it more of a big deal when they lose.

Private Party had been champions since October 30, when the duo unseated The Young Bucks on "Fight Night Dynamite" to win their first AEW titles, in a match which would've seen the team forced to disband if they lost.
