Airbnb hosts across the Las Vegas Valley are taking in evacuees from across Southern California. Homeowners and “hosts” have signed up with the company to assist people searching for shelter, as hundreds of thousands of people in the Los Angeles area are under an evacuation or warning,

Las Vegas is a betting town and the odds are in favor the valley, especially the western portion, will get blasted Tuesday and Wednesday with wind gusts of more than 60 mph, according to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas.

The organization, which has provided health and human services referrals in L.A. County for over 40 years, maintains a 24/7 multilingual support system. Airbnb has waived all service fees for participating hosts and guests.
