ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The State Funeral for former President Jimmy Carter will be held on Thursday, Jan. 9. For the state funeral, the 39th President will travel from Washington D.C. to his hometown of Plains, where he will be laid to rest next to Rosalynn Carter, his wife of 77 years.
