As security has been heightened at Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence following new death threats demanding an extortion payment of ₹5 crore, director Salim Khan on Sunday said that the actor was not present at the site of an incident where a blackbuck was killed.

Salim Khan believes his son Salman Khan can't kill a blackbuck, leaving him with no reason to apologies the Bishnoi community.

In an interview with ABP News, Salim Khan shared that he had questioned Salman after the blackbuck hunting incident became public. "I asked Salman who did it, and he told me he wasn't even there. He said he wasn’t in the car when it happened,

In the same interview, Salim Khan also talked about the Blackbuck poaching case and the constant threat he has been receiving from the gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Defending his son, Salim claimed that Salman didn’t kill the Blackbuck as he wasn’t even present during the poaching incident in 1998.
