Eva Longoria's older sister Liza Longoria joined her as the actor co-hosted TODAY w ith Jenna & Friends on Jan. 14. The "Desperate Housewives" star shared a letter she wrote to her older sister and shined a light on her organization Eva's Heroes, which she founded in 2006 in honor of Liza.

Longoria was seen wearing a neon-green work vest above her all-black workout outfit, white sneakers, and a black LA cap, in solidarity with her city. She later changed into boots and a bright orange vest to pick up piles of brush from the streets and sidewalks.

Eva Longoria said there needs to be "more humanity and grace" over those suffering the impact of the Los Angeles wildfires, suggesting there has been a focus on the "rich celebrities" whose homes have been lost.

"Everybody who's out there and helping and doing their part, thank you," the actress said in an emotional Instagram video

The Eva Longoria Foundation with support of the Courage and Civility Award on Monday pledged $1 million to support California wildfire relief efforts.

The star, who received the $50 million prize from the Amazon founder last year, will donate a part of it to the Latino Community Foundation as well as the California Community Foundation.

With support from the Courage and Civility Award, the funds will be distributed to the Latino Community Foundation and the California Community Foundation.
