Alex Lyon came through with 37 saves as the Detroit Red Wings banked a much-needed pair of points on the road, beating the Nashville Predators, 5-2.

Steven Stamkos scored his first goal with the Predators and tied the game at 2 just 32 seconds into the third period. Stamkos was robbed by Lyon in the waning seconds of the second period on a two-man Nashville advantage but made no mistake one-timing a pass.

The Nashville Predators enter Saturday's game against the Detroit Red Wings at Bridgestone Arena as the only team without a point earned this season in the NHL. Nashville's 0-4-0 start has Andrew Brunette already switching forward lines around,
