Five regions of England are being warned of a cold snap, as the UK Health Security Agency says "significant impacts are possible across health and social care services".

There are 21 flood alerts in place across Wales ahead of the arrival of the worst of the Storm Claudia downpours. The peak of the rainfall is expected to hit Wales from 12pm on Saturday and a Met Office amber warning is in place for this afternoon and evening.

Heavy rains from Storm Claudia have caused significant flooding in Wales, particularly in the town of Monmouth.

Storm Claudia - named by the Spanish meteorological agency - has already brought heavy rain and strong winds to Spain and Portugal. Dramatic flooding was reported as the storm hit Ireland on Saturday, with Portarlington, on the border of counties Laois and Offaly, and County Wexford affected.

There are four severe flood warnings across Wales this afternoon as well as seven flood warnings and 17 flood alerts. Natural Resources Wales has issued updates as people across Wales face the devastation wreaked by Storm Claudia downpours.

Monmouth was hit by severe flooding in the early hours of Saturday (15 November), prompting South Wales Fire and Rescue to declare a major incident as the aftermath of Storm Claudia continues in Wales.
