Aldi has released their own version of a popular Kmart item that's become popular among parents for young kids.

The project, called Bozeman Square, would be developed over the next five to 10 years. Early plans include a mix of restaurants, venues, a convention center, hotels and apartments.

Bunnings will follow other major retailers like Woolworths and Coles in introducing security gates in a new trial.
