A police chase in La Porte County had westbound lanes of U.S. 20 closed for scene security on Sunday morning and a two-hour negotiation ended with a suspect being taken into custody.

The Mishawaka Police Department is reporting one fatality from a construction work site accident that happened on Saturday at the Sunnyside Overpass project.

Michelle N. Reeves, 37, of La Porte, was arrested on multiple felony and misdemeanor offenses, including theft, unauthorized entry of a vehicle used in a crime, criminal mischief, and public nudity.
